We provide platforms to initiate dialogue, raise awareness, and support industry-wide efforts to create more inclusive and equitable workplaces for employees, which is why we've launched our Women in Engineering programme. As an industry, we know that there is more that we can all do to achieve these goals, and as an event, we see it as our purpose to encourage and inspire everyone who forms part of our important global value chain.
Despite these hurdles, the proportion of women engineers in the UK has risen from 10.5% in 2010 to 17% in 2023, and similar trends are observed in the US, particularly in environmental engineering.
