The Global Home of Coil Winding

CWIEME Berlin Unveils Transmission & Distribution Club

27 Feb 2026 | Press Releases

CWIEME Berlin 2026's dedicated Transmission & Distribution Club will create an exclusive space for TSOs, DSOs and grid equipment leaders to address lead times, grid modernisation and delivery risk together.

Europe’s leading event for coil winding, transformer, electric motor and e-mobility technologies, CWIEME Berlin, has announced the launch of its dedicated Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Club at the 2026 edition of the show. The Club will be accessible during the show, which is being held from May 19-21 at Messe Berlin.

The T&D Club will be a dedicated, premier lounge designed for industry leaders across the industry, from OEMs to utility operators. The premium space will provide a comfortable  setting for industry leaders, engineers and procurement professionals to network, collaborate and conduct business in a focused environment.

The lounge is exclusive to transmission system operators (TSOs), distribution system operators (DSOs) and grid-equipment manufacturers. It will provide a central hub for energy asset owners to discuss grid innovation, power distribution and energy distribution, with benefits including dedicated meeting spaces and early access to the show floor.

Visitors can also access curated roundtable discussions that will be held within the lounge, with themes including lead times, monitoring and condition-based maintenance (CBM) and circularity.  Furthermore, these peer-to-peer discussions will be moderated by key industry contacts from Siemens, Hitachi and various industry associations. Therefore, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with some of the sectors leading companies and benefit from their insights.

“The global T&D industry is rapidly shifting from a traditional, static network to a modern, decentralised grid faced with rapidly increasing electricity demand,” said Melissa Magestro, Portfolio Director at CWIEME. “Against this backdrop, we wanted to create a space for the entire ecosystem to come together, share in each other’s knowledge and help shape the future of Europe’s T&D industry.

“We understand the challenges facing utilities, TSOs and our other T&D attendees, with limited grid-modernisation budgets, lead times and the need for interoperable solutions being just a few,” added Magestro. “As well as a comfortable setting for networking, we wanted to provide thought leadership and useful insights that our visitors could take away from the T&D club. This is why we decided to host the roundtable discussions, and having the likes of Siemens and Hitachi on board has been crucial for these going ahead.”

Other benefits of joining CWIEME Berlin’s T&D Club include the opportunity to host meetings with other event attendees, hold private meetings for organised delegations and complimentary refreshments through the three days.

The T&D Club is invite-only. With visitor registration now open, CWIEME Berlin regularly reviews the attendees and invite only those who are eligible for the club. Register your place at the show.
