Women in Engineering at CWIEME Berlin is moving from visibility to action, strengthening mentorship, representation and leadership to build a more capable and resilient workforce across the industry.
Visibility. Voice. Equity.
At CWIEME Berlin 2025, Women in Engineering was not a side conversation. It was a clear statement about representation, mentorship and industry culture.
As one speaker put it, although progress has been made, “it’s still a very common experience to feel outnumbered or less valued”.
Register for CWIEME Berlin 2026 to connect with engineers, mentors and leaders shaping a more inclusive industry.
GET TICKETAnother made the distinction clear. “More so than gender equality, gender equity is very important to highlight… there tends to be a lot more barriers in place”.
The conversation was honest. Direct. Grounded in lived experience.
From mentorship panels to open discussions, the message was consistent. Representation changes perception. And perception shapes careers.
“I think it’s important in this industry because people need to see how an engineer can look like,” one panellist shared
And the most powerful reminder came from the stage itself:
“If I am on that stage and some student sees me and says I want to be there, why not?”
In an industry defined by precision, performance and delivery, inclusion is not a soft topic. It is a workforce issue. Transformer and motor OEMs across Europe are facing skilled labour shortages and increased complexity. The sector cannot afford to limit its talent pool.
From mentorship to momentum in 2026
At CWIEME Berlin 2026, Women in Engineering will build on this foundation.
The focus will move beyond visibility alone toward structured mentorship, peer connection and cross-generational dialogue. Early-career engineers, mid-level leaders and senior decision-makers will share practical strategies for progression in technical and manufacturing environments.
Aligned with the 2026 theme Where Power Meets Progress , the programme will highlight how inclusive leadership strengthens innovation, improves retention and drives measurable business outcomes.
For women in engineering at any level, CWIEME Berlin offers:
-
A visible platform within the world’s largest coil winding and electrical manufacturing exhibition
-
Direct access to OEMs, suppliers and utilities across the value chain
-
Honest discussion about leadership, negotiation, technical authority and career growth
This is not about optics. It is about capability.
When more engineers feel confident to take space, speak clearly and lead projects, the entire industry moves forward.
CWIEME Berlin 2026 will continue to ensure that stage remains visible.
