Global Regulations Manager, KSB Chairman, Standards Commission, Europump

Michael Könen is Global Regulations Manager at KSB and Chairman of the Europump Standards Commission. With a degree in Electrical Engineering, he joined KSB in 2011, initially managing research projects in motor and drive technology.

He has been responsible for strategic standardization and association work at KSB, focusing on pumps, motors, and variable speed drives. He has been actively involved in industry committees since 2015, working with organizations such as Europump, ZVEI, and CEMEP acts here as a liaison to cennect these product sectors. His work focuses on international standardization, particularly within ISO and IEC. Since 2025, he has served as Chairman of Europump’s Standards Commission.
