Dr. Richard Arlot

Sales and Business Development Manager Bomatec

Dr. Richard Arlot has more than 28 years of experience in the development of permanent magnets, and the promotion of related mechatronic systems to various markets worldwide (automotive, industry, medical, etc).
During his Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Grenoble (France) and Osaka (Japan), Richard has worked for the French group SOLVAY as researcher to develop first Sm2Fe17N3-bonded magnets. This kind of material is now commercially available. 
He has joined the Swiss Group MMT- SONCEBOZ in 1999 as R&D engineer and was later promoted as Marketing & Sales Manager for Asian market. 
In 2012, he’s engaged by the Swiss group MAXON MOTOR as Permanent Magnet Manager. 
In 2016, he’s joined the Italian company CIBAS as Sales & Technical Manager, in charge of the French market.
Since April 2018, he is now part of the BOMATEC team, as Sales and Business Development Manager.
