Inside the Show: How the Innovation Zone became a standout feature at CWIEME Berlin

How the Innovation Zone created focused visibility, high-quality technical conversations and real momentum for emerging solution providers at CWIEME Berlin

At CWIEME Berlin 2025, the Innovation Zone made its mark as a focused space for early-stage technologies, new approaches and forward-thinking companies ready to step into the spotlight.

Introduced as a new feature for 2025, the Innovation Zone was designed to give pioneering solution providers visibility where it matters most. At the centre of the show, positioned directly on Electric Avenue, it connected innovation with constant footfall, live conversations and immediate industry relevance.

For companies working in electric motors and adjacent technologies, the decision to be part of the Innovation Zone was a strategic one.

As one participant, Diego Castro, Director of Engineering and R&D at PMG Holding, explained: "We are looking for customers in the motor business and we thought this is the right place to be."That clarity of purpose translated into conversations that started at a high technical level, with visitors who understood both the challenges and the opportunity of new solutions

What set the Innovation Zone apart was not just its location, but its format. Exhibitors were able to combine visibility with active networking, while also using the space to present their technologies in context. The result was a steady flow of meaningful engagement rather than surface-level interaction.

“I think this is a great space for a pioneering company to be visible first,” shared Nico Acampora, Head of Growth at CWIEME Berlin. That early visibility mattered. Visitors recognised the value on display quickly, and conversations moved fast, from introduction to technical discussion.

The feedback from across the zone was consistently positive. Participants highlighted the quality of discussions, the relevance of visitors and the opportunity to learn directly from the market. “People recognise the value that we can bring and they see that right away,” remarked Lucas Ciccarelli, Managing Director of Alformet GmbH, pointing to how the Innovation Zone supported informed, future-focused dialogue.

Beyond customer meetings, the zone also became a place to build partnerships and gather insight. Exhibitors described learning about emerging trends, understanding how the industry is preparing for change, and connecting with potential collaborators alongside customers. In a sector defined by rapid electrification and shifting requirements, that insight is as valuable as any lead.

An even bigger Innovation Zone in 2026

The success of the Innovation Zone at CWIEME Berlin 2025 has shaped what comes next. In 2026, the Innovation Zone will return with an expanded footprint, even more space for new technologies, fresh thinking and companies ready to shape the future of electrical manufacturing. With 8 companies already confirmed to be participating, 2026 will undoubtedly be bigger and better for the Innovation Zone at CWIEME Berlin.

For solution providers developing what’s next in motors, materials, digital tools and systems, CWIEME Berlin 2026 offers a proven platform to be seen, heard and taken seriously.
