The Global Home of Coil Winding

30 Years of CWIEME Berlin: Connecting the Industry

07 Nov 2025 | Press Releases

Exploring how three decades of innovation at CWIEME Berlin continue to shape the future of sustainable power and mobility.

CWIEME Berlin 2026 will mark a major milestone for Europe’s leading exhibition for coil winding, transformer, electric motor and e-mobility technologies, as it celebrates 30 years of innovation, collaboration and industry leadership. The anniversary edition promises to be the most vibrant yet, with an expanded show floor, new dedicated zones and a stronger focus on connection, content and community.

The theme of the upcoming show is Where Power Meets Progress, which speaks to the transformative energy driving today’s electrical manufacturing industry. It captures the spirit of an era defined by innovation, adaptation and the pursuit of sustainable growth.

At CWIEME Berlin, this theme celebrates the people and ideas powering progress across global supply chains, bridging talent, technology and transformation to move our industry forward.

Building on the success of 2025, which had a community footfall of over 12,000 and almost 500 exhibitors from 87 countries, the 2026 event will introduce a host of new and enhanced features designed to reflect the changing needs of the global electrical engineering supply chain.

A major highlight will be the new Electric Motor Forum, a dedicated content and networking hub for the European motor industry. The forum will include exhibition stands, roundtables and expert-led sessions exploring; how Europe can strengthen its position by focusing on strategic sourcing and reshoring to build more resilient, localised supply chains; innovative materials; design strategies, and production processes that enable low-carbon and sustainable manufacturing in motor development and assembly. Leading electric motor organisations will be hosted in the Power Hub, located next to the Forum stage, creating a focused industry experience.

Returning to CWIEME 2026, the popular Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Club will expand to host organised delegations from companies across the transmission and distribution sector. The T&D Club will include roundtables and networking sessions, strengthening collaboration across this vital sector.

Meanwhile, the Central Stage agenda will feature a new transmission and distribution content stream, offering a holistic view of the entire electrical engineering ecosystem, from materials and design to manufacturing and grid operation. This new programme will spotlight the innovations, strategies and collaborations driving a smarter, cleaner and more resilient power network.

Senior executives will benefit from an enhanced C-Suite Club, a premium, executive-only environment designed specifically for leaders across the electrical engineering industry. This onsite experience offers a rare opportunity to connect with senior peers, engage in strategic discussions and shape the future of the industry, all in a setting that prioritises privacy, insight and influence.

“CWIEME Berlin has always been about bringing the industry together, and our 30th anniversary will be a true celebration of that spirit,” said Melissa Magestro, Portfolio Director at CWIEME. “We’re not just marking a milestone. We’re connecting the community that will shape the future of the electrical engineering industry.”

CWIEME Berlin 2026 takes place at Messe Berlin on May 19-21. Register your interest in attending or enquire about exhibiting and be part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the world’s leading event for electrical engineering innovation.
