CWIEME Berlin 2026 marks 30 years by bringing the industry together with an expanded programme, new features and more opportunities to connect, learn and do business.
Final preparations are well underway for CWIEME Berlin, returning to Messe Berlin from 19 to 21 May and marking a major milestone as the event celebrate its 30th anniversary in the city.
CWIEME will officially open with a ceremony in the south entrance lobby at 9am on May 19. Across the three days, over 400 exhibitors including 110 new companies will showcase their solutions for the transformer, electric motor, e-mobility and generator sectors, with major names such as Siemens Energy, WEG, Rolls-Royce, National Grid, Jaguar Land Rover planning their attendance. More than 90 expert speakers will contribute to the content programme.
At the heart of this year’s expanded agenda is the Central Grid Stage, which will spotlight critical developments in power infrastructure. Attendees can expect dedicated sessions on transformer technology alongside a brand-new transmission and distribution track, offering insights into grid resilience, electrification and the future of energy networks.
New for 2026 is the Electric Motor Forum in hall 25, bringing together leading suppliers and manufacturers for a focused programme of expert-led sessions and interactive roundtable discussions. The forum will serve as a hub for knowledge exchange, tackling key challenges and innovations shaping electric motor design, efficiency and application. Not to be missed in the EEMODS open plenary session presented by the European Commission, CEMEP and Europump on the 19th May at 10:05 am.
Innovation remains a core pillar of the event, with the Innovation Zone returning on a larger scale. This year, 20 start-ups will showcase cutting-edge technologies through live pitches, giving attendees direct access to emerging solutions and real-world applications that are set to influence the next wave of industry advancement.
Celebrations will continue beyond the show floor with the PowerUp Welcome Party on the 19th May, bringing the community together to mark 30 years of CWIEME Berlin in an informal, high-energy setting. Additional networking opportunities include a happy hour at the Beer Garden from 4-6 pm on day two.
“As we mark 30 years of CWIEME Berlin, this year’s programme reflects both the scale of industry progress and the opportunities ahead,” said Melissa Magestro, Portfolio Director at CWIEME Berlin. “From the launch of the Electric Motor Forum to the expansion of the Innovation Zone, we’re creating more spaces for meaningful exchange, innovation and collaborating across the entire ecosystem.”
As the industry continues to evolve, CWIEME Berlin 2026 provides a vital platform for innovation, knowledge-sharing and partnership, bringing together global leaders to explore the technologies shaping the future of electrical engineering.
