The Global Meeting Place for the Electrical Manufacturing Supply Chain

What's New in 2027

What's New in 2027

CWIEME is growing in 2027. We are introducing three new feature areas, Factory of the Future, Grid Logistics Hub and Transformer Lifecycle Hub, which mark the next step in CWIEME's evolution into an end-to-end platform spanning the full transformer and transmission and distribution landscape. Alongside these new areas, we are launching the Grid Delivery Summit with a focus on turning grid ambition into action, and Switchgear Hub to cover the entire electrical manufacturing supply chain.

Switchgear at CWIEME Berlin

Grid Delivery Summit

Launching at CWIEME Berlin 2027, the Grid Delivery Summit focuses on the industry’s biggest challenge: execution. As grid investment accelerates, delivering infrastructure at scale now depends on alignment across the organisations responsible for planning, building, and supplying the grid. This is where operators, EPCs, OEMs, and suppliers come together to remove bottlenecks and move from plan to delivery.

Switchgear Hub

The Switchgear Hub, a dedicated home for switchgear at CWIEME Berlin, is launching in 2027. For attendees, that means one focused place to see the latest components, materials and manufacturing behind switchgear, and to meet the suppliers building them. Whether you specify, source or manufacture, the Switchgear Hub brings the switchgear supply chain together.

Feature areas coming to CWIEME Berlin 2027

For 2027, we're expanding the show floor to reflect the industry's most urgent challenges, covering how transformers are made, moved and maintained.

Factory of the Future

The future of transformer manufacturing is being built here

Factory of the Future is where manufacturers planning expansions and equipment investment come to see what's next. As capacity, efficiency and labour pressures mount, this feature showcases the robotics, automation, AI, machine vision, controls and smart factory solutions helping you get more from every shift, machine and square metre. Explore the technologies shaping specification decisions and find the partners who can help you deliver them.

What you'll explore:

Automation and robotics for electrical manufacturing

AI-enabled quality control and machine vision

Digital twins and connected machinery

Manufacturing software and end-to-end traceability

Predictive maintenance and smart factory innovation

Grid Logistics Hub

Following the journey from factory floor to final installation

The Grid Logistics Hub focuses on how transformers and other large-scale equipment get from the production line to the substation, covering heavy haulage, project cargo, lifting, ports, and freight forwarding behind every move. As units get larger and projects more complex, logistics now decides whether a grid connection lands on time. Explore the specialists and solutions that keep major projects moving and connect with the partners who can deliver.

What you'll explore:

Heavy transport and specialist haulage

Project cargo, shipping and port services

Crane, lifting and installation logistics

Specialist packaging and asset protection

Route planning, customs and condition monitoring

Transformer Lifecycle Hub

Unlock the full value of every transformer

The Transformer Lifecycle Hub covers everything after installation: diagnostics, monitoring and oil treatment, through to maintenance, repairs, rewinding, remanufacturing and end-of-life services. With new units scarce and expensive, keeping installed assets running has become critical to grid stability and asset value. Explore the diagnostics, services and solutions that extend asset life and connect with the partners who can help you get more from every unit.

What you'll explore:

Condition assessment and diagnostics

Digital monitoring and predictive analytics

Field maintenance, rewinding and refurbishment

Oil treatment, regeneration and component replacement

Remanufacturing and responsible end-of-life solutions

Ready to explore what's next?

Whether you're returning to CWIEME Berlin or visiting for the first time in 2027, these new feature areas give you direct access to the technologies, suppliers and solutions shaping the future of electrification.
