When and where does CWIEME Berlin 2024 take place?

Where should I stay in Berlin?

Who owns and runs CWIEME?

How often does CWIEME Berlin take place?

Once every year, for three days in mid-May. In 2024, the event will take place 14-16 May.

How long has CWIEME been running?

The first CWIEME Berlin show ran in 1995. The event in 2022 marked our 25th anniversary.

Are there other CWIEME shows?

Yes, there are two trade shows including CWIEME Berlin. The next CWIEME Shanghai will take place 26-28 June 2023.

What sort of customers will I meet?

Most visitors to CWIEME Berlin are either engineers involved in specifying the technical requirements for a project or purchasing managers who will be responsible for the commercial aspects of any purchase deal. You can learn more about the people who visit here.

How many people visit CWIEME Berlin every year?

CWIEME Berlin hosts over 6,000+ international visitors every year, from the worlds of coil winding, transformer, electric motor and generator manufacture and e-mobility.

What is Connect @ CWIEME?

It's the industry's most extensive platform for fostering connections between suppliers of components, raw materials, and process machinery and buyers in engineering, procurement, and R&D for lead generation purposes.

Can I get contact details for participants that were interested in me but I did not get a meeting with?

No, we don't share contact details other than for those participants you meet with.

Can I get a list or view my mutual matches?

No, for data privacy reasons, we cannot share a list of all your mutual matches. Participants haven’t agreed to be solicited outside of the event, and we commit to using or sharing their information only for the purposes of delivering the event (as explicitly stated in our various policies and guidelines).

Do you guarantee meetings?

We don't guarantee meetings, because all meetings are double opt in. That means meetings are scheduled depending primarily on who you want to meet and also who wants to meet you. Other factors that determine how many meetings you'll get include: (1) the number of meetings representatives from your organisation, (2) the level of interest in your company from buyers, and (3) your representative’s availability for meetings vs buyer availability for meetings. For example, if you have up to 10 meetings, but only 8 buyers want to meet with you, then 8 is the maximum number of meetings we can schedule for you.

Who can I talk to about exhibiting, Connect @ CWIEME, sponsorship or advertising opportunities?

How do I apply to speak at the event?

If you wish to give a presentation at the event as part of our speaker programme, contact your Account Manager who will explain how this can be accommodated within your marketing package or email [email protected]. If you aren’t exhibiting or you’re a working in research, contact our Senior Content Producer [email protected].

Exhibitor Manual & Operations

Where can I find my stand number?

Your hall and stand number will be shown as part of your profile in the GES exhibitor shop. If you cannot find your login details for the GES platform, please contact [email protected].

What are my stand dimensions?

Your stand size can be found on your stand contract. If you are unsure of your stand dimensions, please contact [email protected] to request a floorplan. This will show your exact stand dimensions.

What is the difference between a shell scheme and space only?

Space only – this is the space on the floor only. Your stand will be marked on the floor. You or your designated stand contractor build your own stand within this space and are responsible for floor coverings and dividing walls as a minimum.

Shell Scheme – this is provided by the organisers stand contractor, GES. The shell scheme walling, carpet, lights and fascia displaying your company name and stand number are provided. Please note that power is not included and should be ordered by all exhibitors through the GES Exhibitor Webshop.

How can I access the Exhibitor Manual? 

The Exhibitor Manual will be hosted on the Exhibitor Hub in January 2024, and the GES exhibitor shop from early February 2024. You will be sent a link once the manual has been uploaded.

Where do I get my password for the GES exhibitor shop?

If you have previously exhibited at CWIEME Berlin, your log in details for the GES exhibitor shop will be the same. If you have forgotten your password or have any issues accessing your account, please contact [email protected] for assistance.

If you are new to CWIEME Berlin, you can access the exhibitor webshop through the exhibitor manual and set up an account with your email and password.

The operational contact registered to your companies account at Hyve will receive an email with link to the exhibitor manual.

I have been to the show before, do I still need to read the manual?

Yes. There are a number of compulsory forms which you must complete prior to your arrival on site for each show - all of which can be found as part of the manual. In addition, it is important that you check that all the details that we hold for you are correct.

Is exhibiting safe? What are your COVID-19 measures?

We work closely with the Messe Berlin to follow the relevant public health authorities guidance. We are guided by and will apply those in place at the time of the event. For further information on how the Messe Berlin are following these measures, please visit:

How do I order additional services for my stand?

You can order additional furniture or lighting through the Exhibitor Manual in the GES exhibitor shop. Your furniture and lighting will be delivered/installed on your stand during build-up.

Please note: A surcharge will be added to electrical orders placed closer to the show. Further information on this can be found on the electrical order form or contact CWIEME customer service team at [email protected].

Can I park at the venue?

You are able to park at the venue. Please access the booking system via the exhibitor manual – you will be directed to the Messe Berlin website (as an exhibitor). This is not yet live but you will be notified when up and running.

Can I add a logo to the name board?

Yes, you are more than welcome to add a logo. Please fill out the name board form, which can be downloaded from the Exhibitor Manual and send it together with logo to GES.

What hare the height restrictions in my hall?

Space only stands are permitted to build up to 6m high. Space only stands that are 4m and above are deemed as complex and are requested to submit structural calculations. There will be a fee for this and will be subject to approval.

Where can I download the floor plan?

Scam Warning: Does CWIEME sell data?

Hyve as an organiser does not sell data lists. Any email you receive that offers CWIEME data for sale is a scam and not associated with Hyve. You can find out more about fairguide warnings and scams here.

Marketing Materials

Where can I find additional marketing material?

All marketing material will be available on our website, the access link will be supplied to you in a separate email. 

Where can I find a list of exhibitors?

You can find our exhibitor list on our website and, once registration opens, you can also search the Connect @ CWIEME platform. 

Invoices and Insurance

I already have insurance, do I need to take out additional insurance from Hyve?

No, provided that you have adequate cover you don’t need to buy additional insurance. To ensure that you don’t pay for insurance you don’t need, please upload a copy of your insurance documents to the InEvexco portal. InEvexco are Hyve Event’s insurance broker who will tell you if you have adequate cover to exhibit. Unfortunately, all insurance policies need to be handed in on a yearly basis. All claims need to be handed in to InEvexco.

I have not received my invoice, or I have questions to my invoice?

International information

I require an invitation letter to assist with my VISA application. How do I apply?

As a CWIEME exhibitor, we are happy to support you in your VISA process by issuing a VISA Invitation Letter for you. Please contact our customer success team at [email protected].
