CWIEME Berlin 2026 provided the launch platform for Hirect announcing commercial availability of three new product lines

CWIEME Berlin 2026 provided the launch platform for a major expansion in copper conductor manufacturing, with Hirect announcing commercial availability of three new product lines serving transformer, traction motor and grid applications.

The announcement

At CWIEME Berlin 2026, Hirect announced the commercial launch of three copper conductor product ranges designed for use in power transformers, traction motors and high-power electrical systems.

The new product portfolio includes Continuously Transposed Conductors (CTC), Paper Insulated Copper Conductors (PICC) and Enameled Paper Insulated Copper Conductors (EPICC), all produced at the company's newly commissioned copper processing facility.

The investment expands manufacturing capacity for critical conductor technologies used across power grids, railway infrastructure, rolling stock and industrial electrification projects. The facility incorporates advanced quality assurance processes, including in-line optical inspection and precision measurement systems, alongside in-house testing capabilities.

The launch reflects continued investment in manufacturing capacity as demand for electrical equipment increases across multiple sectors.

Why it matters

Copper conductors remain a critical component within transformers, electric motors and power systems. As electrification accelerates, investments in production capacity and quality assurance help strengthen supply chains and support the delivery of future energy and mobility projects.
