This award recognises the individuals whose lifelong contributions have shaped and advanced the global electrical manufacturing and coil winding industry.

Future Engineers

In partnership with Hitachi, this award recognises the next generation of engineers and showcases career pathways across the electrical manufacturing industry. It honours a standout project from a student or student team that shows clear innovation and strong industry relevance.

Our 2026 winner is Raj Manoj Bag and the runner up was awarded to Clifford Omari Ondieki!

Sustainability & Leadership

This award celebrates a company, individual or project that delivers meaningful progress on sustainability in manufacturing and product development. It recognises those actively shaping a more sustainable future for industry and the planet through practical action.

Congratulations to our 2026 winner the Green Lead Market – Transformers (AGGLS) working group, made up of Siemens Energy, SGB-SMIT, TenneT, Amprion, 50Hertz, TransnetBW, EON, Salzgitter, GE Vernova and thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel.

Product of the Year

This award honours a product that stands out for both quality and innovation, with clear success from concept to real-world application. It recognises the product and the team behind it, setting a new benchmark for the electrical manufacturing industry.

Engineer of the Year

This award highlights an engineer or technical specialist who has delivered exceptional results in design, problem solving and project delivery, showing commitment to the industry and contributes to the wider electrical engineering community.

CWIEME Talks: The winners will be invited to film an interview on our year-round interview platform
Article Publication: Each winning project/individual will be featured on an article published on CWIEME’s website and promoted through our digital channels
On-site Video interview: Winners will be invited to participate in a video recorded onsite at CWIEME Berlin
Press Release: Every winner will be featured on a press release which will be shared with all of our media partners for expanded reach.
Future Engineers Award: First prize is a six-month internship with Hitachi Energy, an iPad and high-level branded merchandise. The second prize is high-level branded merchandise and a Transformer Academy course of their choice.
