Roberta Colombo
Marketing Manager Transportation - Electrical Power Grid & Charging Infrastructure Syensqo
Roberta Colombo is the Marketing Manager in charge of Electrical Power Grid Opportunities for Syensqo, recent spin-off of Solvay Specialty Polymers.
Roberta holds an Executive MBA focused on sustainable innovation and two masters’ in engineering in Nanotechnology and Materials from Polytechnic of Milan - Italy.
She joined the company 11 years ago in R&I function, after a Post Doc at University of Delaware (USA) and consultancy experiences in the Innovation and Industrial fields. Roberta has extensive experience in both electrification applications (magnet wire, battery binders, coatings) as well as technical expertise in specialty polymers. She has been actively leading new solution development from the final application perspective, going beyond the material science as Application Development Project Engineer and Global Coordinator for Coating and Surface Engineering.
In the current role of marketing manager, she works cross-functionally with R&I to design innovative new products for the next generation of transformers and more widely for electrical machines. Roberta leverages her technical expertise to work directly with the players in the electrical power grid value chain to identify and bring solutions to respond to the growing electrical power demand.
