Industry and Academia Strengthen Partnership: Advancing Manufacturing Excellence of Emachine Winding Technologies Using PEEK Insulation Materials

On this session our speakers from WMG and Victrex will showcase the capabilities of the newly created Winding Centre of Excellence at WMG.   

This session will cover the following: 

• The state-of-the-art winding equipment recently installed at WMG will allow different winding techniques to be studied in a solution based environment 
• Comparative results on the effects of the winding process on PEEK coated wires compared with equivalent enamels 
• Discussion in relation to the winding processes used in the formation of hairpin windings and the subsequent welding, impregnation and assembly processes 
• Potential for assembled eMachine prototype performance and durability testing
