CWIEME Berlin announces first exhibitors in new start-up zone
Global coil winding and electrical manufacturing event, CWIEME Berlin has introduced a new zone dedicated to start-ups for 2024. Attendees at this year’s event, which is held at Messe Berlin from May 14 to 16, will see the latest innovations from the industry’s newcomers and entrepreneurs.
Three start-ups have already signed up to exhibit at CWIEME Berlin as part of the new zone — TRAFOLO, SciMo and RVmagnetics. At the event, TRAFOLO will showcase its 3D FEM simulation software for power electronics. By simulating how a transformer or inductor will operate prior to the first physical prototype being built, TRAFOLO’s software helps eliminate critical design errors and allows its customers to build a deeper knowledge about their products.
Also in the start-up zone, SciMo will display its range of high-performance electric motors, whose high power-to-weight ratio make them ideal for challenging aerospace and motorsport applications. Despite being a relatively new company, SciMo has already had some huge achievements, such as its products being used by a Formula Student team that became the world champion.
The third start-up announced is RVmagnetics, inventor of the smallest custom passive sensor in the world — MicroWire. This is the only sensor that can measure several physical quantities, such as temperature, vibration, flow and pressure, at once. This makes it ideal for automotive, aerospace and healthcare applications, plus many more.
“There are around 4.4 million businesses started every year, on average,” explained Chris Lee, portfolio director at Hyve Group, organiser of CWIEME Berlin. “Even within our sector, that’s a huge number of companies doing incredible things, which is why we decided that now is the right time to introduce our start-up zone.
“CWIEME Berlin is all about showcasing the latest innovation and facilitating partnerships between businesses in the field — both of which are particularly important for start-ups. We look forward to seeing what groundbreaking ideas and technologies the start-up community brings to 2024’s event.”
CWIEME Berlin is still looking for other innovative start-ups to join its new zone. If you are interested in securing a space, you can find out more on the event’s website, or you can email the sales team at [email protected].
