Davide Bettoni

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) MAVEL

Davide Bettoni is the founder of Mavel Group, a leading company that enables the development of electric motors and inverters, from concept to industrialization.

He graduated in Electronic Engineering in 1992 from the Politecnico of Turin and he began his career at a local small company in the electronics sector. His curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit,  soon led him to establish his own company focused on high-speed small electric motors. Founded in 1999, Mavel has since grown and evolved into a global leader in the automotive and e-mobility sectors, known for its dynamism, innovation, and commitment to sustainability.

Throughout his career, Davide has been at the forefront of technological advancements, with Mavel securing over 60 international patents, many of which are the result of his personal inventions. These patents have been extended across Europe, China, and, to a lesser extent, the rest of the world. Under his leadership, the company continues to push the boundaries of clean energy solutions, collaborating with renowned clients such as McLaren, Aston Martin, and Ducati.

Redefining e-Mobility Manufacturing: Continuous Flow Winding (CFW) as a New Paradigm in Stator Produ

IMA EV-TECH, the business unit of IMA AUTOMATION entirely committed to electric vehicle (EV) assembly technologies, introduces Continuous Flow Winding (CFW), a breakthrough in electric motor manufacturing for e-mobility. By merging the precision of hairpin technology with the simplicity of inserted winding, CFW offers enhanced performance, reduced rotor losses, and superior thermal management. The result is a compact, cost-effective, and scalable solution for next-generation EV motors.

  • High Current Density: Achieves peak current density of 65 A/mm² wiand continuous density of 40 A/mm², optimizing power output.
  • Advanced Thermal Management: Direct oil cooling within the stator slot removes heat at the source, boosting efficiency and reliability.
  • Optimised Manufacturing Efficiency: Combines controlled crown dimensions with minimal welding, streamlining production.
  • Cost and Space Savings: Reduces CAPEX by 10% and OPEX by 10% through lower equipment costs and minimized floor space needs
