Dr Anna Ermakova holds an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Coventry University and an EngD in Additive Manufacturing from the University of Strathclyde, where her research focused on the structural integrity assessment of Wire Arc Additively Manufactured steel components.
With over four years of experience in conventional manufacturing methods for metals and plastics, gained while working as a project engineer in China, Anna brings a strong foundation in both industrial and academic settings.
In November 2023, she joined the University of Bristol as a Research Associate in Additive Manufacturing of Electrical Machines. Her work focuses on using Additive Manufacturing for targeted cooling and loss reduction, developing design tools for high-performance AM coils, establishing measurement protocols for the electrical properties of AM materials, and adapting post-processing techniques for AM-built windings.
