The Global Coil Winding And Electrical Manufacturing Event

Dr. Ing Felix Tigges

Knowledge Expert McKinsey & Company

10 years of race car driving and the passion for engineering led me to study mechanical and automotive engineering at TU Braunschweig. I decided to spend an additional ~4,5 years at the Institute of Automotive Engineering in Braunschweig to pursue my doctoral thesis in the field of active chassis systems and vehicle dynamics. I finished my doctoral thesis on the topic of Torque Vectoring for vehicles equipped with more than one E-Motor in 2019.

Afterwards I spent 2 years as a team manager for virtual validation of chassis control systems at IAV GmbH where I discovered my passion for strategy topics. I decided to join McKinsey to work on strategic decision making on a daily basis. I’m part of our Center for Future Mobility co-leading our work on changing vehicle component landscape and how to navigate this change for various players along the entire value chain from raw materials, over Tier1 and 2 suppliers to OEMs and recycling players.
