CWIEME Berlin 2026 welcomed the global electrical manufacturing community back to Messe Berlin for three days of conversations that moved the industry forward.
From transformer manufacturing and electric motors to grid modernisation, automation and advanced materials, attendees explored the technologies, partnerships and ideas shaping the future of electrification.
The industry came together at the end of day one for an evening of networking, collaboration and celebration, as CWIEME Berlin marked its 30th Anniversary. There were break dancers, musicians, and great food and drink that ended the first day of this year's edition.
For the first time, CWIEME Berlin welcomed EEMODS, bringing together researchers, policymakers and manufacturers focused on energy efficiency in motor driven systems. The collaboration strengthened conversations around electrification, sustainability and the future of motor innovation.
This year marked the launch of the Grid Delivery Summit which will arrive at CWIEME Berlin 2027, creating a new platform for conversations around grid resilience, transmission and distribution, and the technologies supporting Europe’s evolving power infrastructure.
From emerging startups to next-generation manufacturing technologies, the Innovation Zone, which more than doubled in size from 2025, showcased fresh ideas and practical solutions driving the future of electrical engineering, automation and electrification.
“CWIEME is one of the key events for the transformer industry in Europe every year. For us, it’s one of the premier places to meet, talk with and connect face-to-face with the customers and partners we work with throughout the year - all gathered together in one place across the entire transformer supply chain.”
Ante Prlic, Director of Globa Business Development, APC Media
“This is our second year exhibiting at CWIEME Berlin, and we’ve actually already signed our contract for next year as well, which probably tells you how beneficial the event has been for us. Overall, it’s been a very worthwhile experience, and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow our presence at future editions of the show.”
Ani Bazdekian, Corporate Comms Manager, Ducab
“In terms of visitor quality, we’ve already met the people we were hoping to connect with, so we’re very happy with that. We’re also looking forward to having a few more important conversations over the rest of today and tomorrow.”
Francois Sinecha, Marketing Manager Transformer Oil, ExxonMobil
“We’ve been exhibiting at CWIEME for many years, and it remains one of the key meeting points for the entire transformer industry, bringing together customers, service centres and manufacturers from across the market, so it’s always a valuable opportunity to connect face to face. For us, CWIEME is simply the established place to be — our customers come to Berlin every year, and the show has become the central hub for the industry.”
Felix Wacker, Sales Manager, Transformer Lines at Heinrich Georg
