Dr. Stefan Voeten
Test Expert Royal SMIT
Stefan Voeten was born in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, in 1980. He received the MSc degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands, in 2006. In 2013 he obtained the PhD in electrical engineering with his dissertation ‘Matching High Voltage Pulsed Power Technologies’ at the University of Eindhoven.
After his PhD he started working as a systems engineer on satellite stabilization systems and since 2016 he works as test expert in the high voltage lab of Royal SMIT Transformers in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. One of his focus areas is acoustic localization of partial discharges in transformers during factory acceptance testing.
