Building Sustainable Transformers: The Role of Unbleached Pulp from Nordic Forests in the Green Energy Transition
Driven by the green energy transition, the demand for transformers is growing rapidly. Inside of a transformer, there is an extensive amount of paper and board which are made from pulp. To make sustainable transformers, we need low carbon pulp from sustainably managed forests.
- The increased demand for transformers will require growth in transformer board and paper, which form an integral part of any transformer design.
- To fulfill this demand responsibly, we need to use sustainable materials. Pulp from Nordic forests is sustainable and comes from sustainably managed forests.
- To guarantee long-term sustainability and a net positive impact on climate and biodiversity, we need to work both in the forest as well as increase the sustainability of the products, e.g. by lowering the carbon footprint.
- Join this session to learn about how forests are managed and used in a sustainable manner and hear more about what a tree can do.
