Prof. Dr. Stefan Bratzel
Executive Director & Founder Center of Automotive Management (CAM)
Born in 1967, the scientist held various positions as product manager at the Daimler subsidiary smart, program manager at the Telefonica subsidiary Group3G, and head of automotive business development at the medium-sized software company PTV. Since April 2004, Stefan Bratzel has worked at the University of Applied Sciences in Bergisch Gladbach (near Cologne) as a lecturer and program director for automotive management, as well as in research and consulting as director of the local automotive institute CAM. Stefan Bratzel's research focuses on the conditions for success and survival of automobile manufacturers and suppliers, as well as future issues surrounding mobility. Based on empirical studies, he examines innovation trends in the automotive industry and the business models of major IT corporations, deriving these hypotheses on the (auto)mobility of the future.
As a distinguished industry expert, he is one of Germany's most frequently quoted automotive economists in the press, radio, and television.
