Rachana Mamidi

Space Engineer, Co-lead| Software Architect Women in Aerospace- Europe| Reflex Aerospace GmbH

Rachana is a Software Architect at Reflex Aerospace in Berlin, Germany, where she works on cutting-edge satellite platform technologies. She previously worked with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) on the MMX sample return mission and, before that, spent five years contributing to India's latest Earth observation satellite missions under the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
 
As part of her broader engagement with the space community, Rachana hosts the podcast series Those Space People, featuring conversations with professionals across the global space sector. She is also a co-founder and co-lead of the Berlin Regional Network of Women in Aerospace Europe (WIA-E).
 
Rachana holds a master’s degree in Space Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin (TU-B) and a second master’s degree in Space and Telecommunication Laws from NALSAR University of Law in India.
 
A passionate space sci-fi enthusiast, she’s always up for geeking out over starships, time travel, or alien worlds!
